The ubiquitous Class 08 has been seen in many different colour schemes since its introduction

nearly fifty years ago, however, the Anglia Railways 08 must rank as being one of the most appealing. This livery has been expertly and precisely applied

to the Hornby model and for a full appreciation of the decoration detail a magnifying glass must be employed. As with other Hornby 08 diesel shunters the model is fitted with a Type 7 motor located on an SSPP chassis.

The Hornby model is fitted with a ringfield motor, die-cast metal cab interior and separate handrails which, like the wheels, have been chemically balanced.
